Being a parent we have to prepare for a lot of things when welcoming our little one because they will need various equipment to make sure the comfort and how we can care for their wellbeing. Shopping for baby rooms along with their clothes and toys are fun but being an active parent is a challenge on its own. We still want to spend time outside for fresh air and recreation but with a little one now we have to consider various things.
Carrying them outside is very challenging especially while you need to move around freely and for a prolonged time we will experience back pain or shoulder pain. Our kids may not be heavy but they are still going to cause some fatigue depending on how long you have to sustain the weight. This is why strollers are very popular and while it seems to be inconvenient seeing some parents having to push their strollers around, this is actually much more bearable for a prolonged travel.
Strollers are also easy to use because you can just unfold them and secure the kid in their seat so then we can push the cart anywhere you go. This is freeing both of your hands, especially when going out for some tasks like grocery shopping without having to worry about the kid’s safety. The harness in the stroller seat makes sure small children stay in their place while you push their stroller to do the activities. The harnesses are also complicated for their small hands to undo for safety.
Since strollers have larger or wider seats, they will be more comfortable for our little one to sit or sleep without having to get shaken around as we move. It is also easier to cover them from sun rays during a summer or when the weather is not friendly since all strollers are paired with their own canopy. Depending on the model, most strollers are useful for years from a very young age or since infancy with the proper seat.
Many strollers’ seats can be fully reclined to form a flat surface or can be paired with an adapter to install a baby car seat. Buying strollers that can carry car seats is more valuable for prolonged use because car seat carriers will not be useful for later when they can’t use the car seat. In addition, some models may come in a set or with their own bassinet or basket and car seat to make a full travel system. Overall having a stroller is just very convenient for parents to stay mobile while spending the precious time with their little ones.

About Cameleon 3 and Cameleon 3 Plus
There are various types of strollers out there so it is always great to shop based on which seems to fit you the most. In our opinion it is good to consider your lifestyle when choosing the stroller thus it can match with the typical application whether you will need them on the daily for jogging or for recreational purposes only such as when taking the kids for a short trip to their favorite places. If you are not sure yet, checking what other parents are going with will be time saving as well.
Shopping based on the brand lets you eliminate most of the options so it is easy to look for the model that you like better and among those that you can rely on, Bugaboo is one of the best options to consider. This brand is well-known for their high-quality strollers and you may like their product too. They often have many interesting features that not all strollers are carrying but, price wise their options are also quite expensive.
Just like most companies, Bugaboo often renew their products to be more relevant and to improve the quality or performance so you will find some models that are similar to each other such as the Cameleon 3 and Cameleon 3 Plus. Both of them are the same stroller but made differently and as you can guess the latter is the newer iteration of the original stroller which was around for quite some time as well. The Plus variant was released in 2018 but now they are not listed on their site anymore.
Chances are they have already stopped the production of the Cameleon series and moved to the newer model which is Lynx. But, some stores do still carry the stock if you like these strollers or pram since many parents do love their overall quality and ease of use. As for the Cameleon 3 and Cameleon 3 Plus, they are mostly the same to each other but the Plus is slightly redesigned to address some issues parents experienced with the original model. Cameleon 3 and Cameleon 3 Plus Design
As you can see from the sample picture above, the Cameleon 3 and Cameleon 3 Plus are very much the same to each other at a glance and this is because their initial design is not changed. There are however some small changes on the material being used and the older model is actually already good but now the fabric is more durable as well as staying soft. In comparison the Cameleon 3 Plus is also slightly slimmer and lighter about 3-4 lbs. than the original model.
The frame material and folding mechanism stay the same however and they can be folded only when the frame is left without the seat or basket. One thing that we do hope being addressed in this stroller is how to fold the frame since while the Plus comes with better overall built, this stroller is not the most convenient to fold and transport such as when you need to put it in and out of the car. The whole process itself is almost like assembling and disassembling them.
Cameleon 3 and Cameleon 3 Plus Canopy
Now let’s see what Cameleon 3 and Cameleon 3 Plus can offer starting with the canopy which is probably one of the best we have seen in strollers. This is because they can be removed from the main seat completely for lighter weight or when the weather is nice. The canopy is also tall and huge, three ply style which is extendable to cover more than half of the passenger’s body when they are sitting on the stroller’s seat. Unfortunately, there is no peeking window to see your little one while strolling.
Cameleon 3 and Cameleon 3 Plus Seat
But, this is not an issue as well unlike in strollers with non-removable seats because here we can rearrange the seat to face either forward or the parents as they push the unit. The seat is removable so we can fit the basket as well and it can be facing either way or as you prefer. The best thing about these strollers is probably how quick it is to change the seat since they secure very easily without much fuss while the handlebar itself is also reversible.
This means we can push the strollers with the large wheel at the front or at the back but personally we prefer to use the standard setting since it is easier to navigate the unit in this position as the rear wheels are not swiveling. The seat is padded and adjustable on the reclining position until quite far flat to mimic the basket. It has a harness and for the basket, there is a soft padding at the bottom that can be removed and cleaned as needed.
Cameleon 3 and Cameleon 3 Plus Features
Lastly we want to talk about Cameleon 3 and Cameleon 3 Plus additional features and we want to highlight the suspension system here as not all strollers are coming with such features. This front suspension feature is designed with springs to absorb shocks when you are walking on bumpy roads or pavement. They are not for jogging so the tires are not filled with air and not suitable for gravel. The handlebar is adjustable and is telescoping to match with the parent’s height.
Cameleon 3 vs Cameleon 3 Plus
Both of them are good options for their features and overall versatility, especially for the use since early days. The removable seats make them light enough for storing but the folding mechanism is far from convenient. The difference between Cameleon 3 and Cameleon 3 Plus is mostly on the design since now the Plus is lighter and slimmer as well as has different fabric. The Plus also has a better basket below the seat that is easier to access than its original model.
You can go well with any of the two but for the improvements, we do think the Cameleon 3 Plus is the better option. This stroller is versatile from very early days with the basket inclusion and adjustable seat that is both comfortable for the kids and easy to manage by the parents.
